Marysville Restoration

Brickwork at the Marysville church had been in need of attention for some time, and part of the veneer on the back of the building collapsed in May.

Thank you to Doug and Dave Schmidt of F.H. Schmidt Inc. and Ward Carlson for their generous donations of time and materials to prepare the back wall for the brick work and repair that was needed.

Repair expenses were covered by designated gifts to the Marysville Preservation Fund.

Easter Garden

Every year Zion has a beautiful display of all kinds of different plants and blooming flowers for our Sunday morning Easter Services. The plants/flowers are usually given in memory of or in honor of someone special to you and/or your family. It is a nice way to recognize your loved ones and to show gratitude for God’s many blessings.

The plants are arranged on Saturday at noon. If you can help, please feel free to stop in, and lend a hand.

If you would like to donate a lily or other plant: Read the rest of this entry »

Under Construction In the Backyard

An new garage is under construction on the northeast side of the building near the back parking lot. This garage will replace the one that was moved out of the way for our addition in 2004.

Materials for the new garage were provided by a designated gift to the memorial fund from Edmund “Swede” Anderson. Swede, 95, is now residing in Rogers MN, at the Wellsted of  Rogers.

The labor is being provided by Schmidt Construction & Schmidt Electric. Thanks to the Anderson and Schmidt families for their generous donations.
