Scrapbooking Changed to March 28

The scrapbook group will meet in the Fellowship Hall on Friday, March 28 (instead of Good Friday). The usual start time is 6pm, but since there is no school there’s a possibility of starting earlier and sharing a pizza supper. . . Check back here or contact Angela or Diane in the church office for updates.

Help Needed from Scrapbookers or Movie Buffs

Faith in Action of Wright County is looking for scrapbookers or movie watchers to visit with a 25 year old woman who has a chronic condition who is in much pain most days. She is a scrapbooker, reader, movie watcher and wonderful singer. Her energy level can be quite low at times. They are looking for volunteers (could this be you?) to visit her on occasion, scrapbook together, or go to a movie together (alone or with another friend).

If you can help out, please call or email Alison, volunteer coordinator of Faith in Action today: 763/234-3586 or servantfia@earthlink.net.

December Scrapbooking Update

With the input that we got, we decided to set December 7 as the date for December Scrapbooking.

The official time is 6pm, but you are welcome to come earlier and get a head start.

For those that are joining us for the first time, check out the general information about the crop nights. Oh, and I am planning on bringing an Australian Christmas treat to share :)

December Scrapbooking

Since the regular December date falls the weekend just before Christmas, and many of you are probably either headed out of town already, or just way too busy that night.

Angela & Diane still want to meet, and we expect some of you may be needing to finish up Christmas gifts, so please let Angela know if you would be interested in scrapbooking on December 7 or December 14.

We will plan the date based on what works for the majority and let you know.

Scrapbooking is taking your photographs out of shoeboxes and putting them into albums where they can be protected and enjoyed. It is recording your life, your family, and your memories. It is also a creative and social activity that will simply make you feel good in countless ways.

Why Make Scrapbooks?

“Why Make Scrapbooks? In our busy lives, bombarded by the demands of today’s high-tech world, we have so little time for the things that really matter. Scrapbooking keeps us connected to what is important in life - family, friends, and the experiences we share with them. The simple act of pasting photographs and jotting down impressions in a book is a relaxing way to record history. By taking bits and pieces from our lives and putting them together in one place, we celebrate our existence and create something timeless in a world where there seems to be no time at all.”
